After getting pretty far through the interview process at a local game company, I was inspired to attempt to model and print one of their characters from the game Excite Bear. Didn’t get hired, but modelling and printing this little guy gave me a ton of experience. As it stands, I learned that I REALLY need to break my models apart and assemble them in post processing, particularly machine or vehicle model. It made sanding, painting, and priming a total nightmare.
I did learn that fingernail polish is a great way to give the model metallic, shiny colors, such as his helmet, the chrome, and the motorcycle engine.
